Hotfix: Backup Interval & Retention Support Stable

    the_minisip released this 2026-10-16 13:32:26 -03:00 | 0 commits to main since this release

This hotfix introduces configurable backup interval and retention support for the managed Valheim server container.

    Changes

    • Added BACKUP_INTERVAL environment variable (default: 21600 seconds / 6 hours)
    • Added BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYS environment variable (default: 7 days)
    • Updated entrypoint.sh to use BACKUP_INTERVAL instead of hard-coded 3600 seconds
    • Added automatic pruning of old backups based on BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYS
    • Updated backup.sh to include pruning logic
    • Updated Dockerfile to include new environment variable defaults
    • Updated TrueNAS SCALE app configuration to support new variables

    Notes

This release is fully backward compatible. Existing deployments can upgrade safely by switching the app version and adding the new environment variables.
